Skilled Worker
The Skilled Worker in Manitoba Stream is designed for individuals who have the skills, work experience, and qualifications needed to contribute to Manitoba’s workforce.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
Manitoba Work Experience: Applicants must have at least 6 months of work experience in Manitoba within the past 5 years, with a valid job offer from a Manitoba employer.
Valid Job Offer: The job offer must be from a Manitoba employer and in a position that meets the province’s needs.
Language Requirements: Applicants must meet the minimum language proficiency requirements (usually CLB 4 or higher in English or French).
Education and Skills: Applicants should have the education and skills that match the job offer and occupation.
Intent to Live in Manitoba: Applicants must show their intention to settle permanently in Manitoba.

Age: Applicants between 21 and 45 years old receive more points.
Work Experience: Relevant work experience adds to the applicant's points.
Education: Higher levels of education increase eligibility.

Application Process:
Applicants are assessed through a Points-Based System.
An Expression of Interest (EOI) is required before applying for nomination.
Once eligible, applicants will be invited to apply for permanent residence through the MPNP.
Skilled Worker Overseas
The Skilled Worker Overseas Stream is designed for skilled workers outside of Canada who have the qualifications and experience needed to contribute to Manitoba's economy.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
Skilled Work Experience: Applicants must have work experience in an occupation in demand in Manitoba.
Connection to Manitoba: Applicants must demonstrate a strong connection to the province, such as family, work, or education ties. This can include having relatives in Manitoba or having worked or studied in the province.
Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet the minimum language requirements (usually CLB 5 or higher in English or French).
Invitation to Apply: To apply, applicants must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) and be invited to apply based on the EOI points ranking system.
Settlement Funds: Applicants must show that they have sufficient funds to support themselves and their family upon arrival in Manitoba.
Additional Factors:
Age: Younger applicants (under 45 years old) will earn more points.
Education: Higher levels of education increase points.
Work Experience: Experience in an in-demand occupation in Manitoba adds additional points.

International Education Stream (IES)
The International Education Stream (IES) is designed for international graduates from eligible Manitoba post-secondary institutions who wish to apply for permanent residency.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
Graduation from a Manitoba Institution: Applicants must have graduated from a recognized post-secondary institution in Manitoba.
Work Experience: Graduates must have at least 6 months of work experience in Manitoba in a related occupation after graduation.
Job Offer: A valid job offer from a Manitoba employer is required. The job must be in a position related to the applicant’s field of study.
Language Proficiency: Applicants must meet language requirements, typically CLB 7 or higher in English or French, depending on the occupation.
Intent to Settle: Applicants must show their intent to live and work permanently in Manitoba.
Substreams:
Career Employment Pathway: For graduates who have completed at least one year of study in Manitoba and have secured a job related to their field of study.
Graduate Internship Pathway: For graduates who have participated in a post-graduation internship program in Manitoba and have received a job offer related to their field of study.
Employer Direct Stream: For graduates who have received a direct job offer from a Manitoba employer with at least one year of study in Manitoba.
Business Investor Stream (BIS)
The Business Investor Stream (BIS) is designed for experienced business owners and managers who wish to establish or invest in a business in Manitoba and apply for permanent residency.
Key Eligibility Criteria:
Business Experience: Applicants must have extensive business management experience or ownership experience in a successful business.
Investment Requirement: Applicants must invest a minimum of $150,000 CAD to start or purchase a business in Manitoba.
Business Plan: Applicants must submit a comprehensive business plan outlining how the business will operate and contribute to the Manitoba economy.
Business Ownership: Applicants must own at least 33.3% of the business or have a significant role in its management.
Intention to Settle: Applicants must show their intention to reside and operate the business in Manitoba.

Entrepreneur Pathway: For applicants who want to establish or buy a business in Manitoba and are actively involved in its operation and management.
Farm Investor Pathway: For individuals who wish to purchase or establish a farm in Manitoba and actively manage it.
Additional Requirements:
Applicants must have sufficient financial resources to support themselves and their family during the initial stages of business establishment.
The business must be located outside of the Winnipeg area unless it contributes significantly to the local economy.
