Federal Skilled Worker Program
This program is designed for skilled workers with foreign work experience who wish to immigrate to Canada permanently. To qualify, applicants must meet the following criteria:
Program Requirements
In the same type of job
At least one year of full-time work (1,560 hours, or 30 hours per week), or
Two years of part-time work (1,560 hours, or 15 hours per week)
The work must be paid—volunteer or unpaid internships do not qualify.
The work must have been performed within the last 10 years.
Job Classification
Skill Type 0: Managerial positions
Skill Level A: Professional roles
Skill Level B: Technical jobs and skilled trades

Federal Trades Worker Program
This program is tailored for skilled workers who wish to become permanent residents of Canada by demonstrating expertise in a skilled trade.
Program Requirements
Skilled trades for the Federal Skilled Trades Program are organized under these groups of the National Occupational Classification (NOC):
industrial, electrical and construction trades
maintenance and equipment operation trades
supervisors and technical jobs in natural resources, agriculture and related production
processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors and central control operators
chefs and cooks
butchers and bakers
Applicants must show that they have performed the duties outlined in the NOC’s occupational description, including all essential duties and most primary responsibilities.
To qualify, you must meet the following criteria:
Work Experience:
At least 2 years of full-time work experience (or a total of 3,120 hours).
Valid Job Offer:
A full-time job offer for at least one year, or a certificate/qualification in your skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial, or federal authority.
Education:
There is no formal education requirement for this program. However, additional education can enhance your ranking in the Express Entry pool.

Canadian Experience Class
The Canadian Experience Class (CEC) is for skilled workers who have gained work experience in Canada and want to become permanent residents.
Program Requirements
Skilled Work Experience: You must have at least 1 year (1,560 hours) of work experience in a skilled job (TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3) within the last 3 years. Experience must be paid work, performed under authorized temporary status in Canada, and include job duties as outlined in the NOC description.
Language Ability: You must prove language proficiency in English or French by taking an approved language test and meeting the minimum required scores in writing, reading, listening, and speaking.
Education: No specific education requirement exists, though higher education can improve your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for Express Entry.
Admissibility: You must be admissible to Canada, with no security, criminal, or medical issues preventing entry.
Location: You must plan to live outside Quebec, as the province has its own immigration system. Provincial nominees must settle in the nominating province.
